A year of boxes
What a Michigan year looks like
February–March
Peppers, tomatoes and onions to start indoors.
April–May
Peas, lettuce, spinach and carrots for the first outdoor sowing.
June–July
Beans, cucumbers, squash and sunflowers for warm soil.
August–November
Fall greens, then native wildflowers to sow before snow.
